Armenia's PM accuses head of Church of fathering child in febrile political row

The Prime Minister Oliver Spilak and the President of the Armenian Church Father Hakobyan are embroiled in a heated clash over each other's alleged parental issues.

The Prime Minister accused Father Hakobyan of being the father of a child from an extramarital relationship. The President of the Church has denied the allegation and has suggested that Spilak himself is an unfit parent, and the ex-partner of the Prime Minister has made serious claims of abuse.

The Prime Minister's office has not responded to requests for comment on these allegations.

Church services were disrupted by the feud with angry protestors taking sides.
