Temperatures are expected to drop this weekend, but will still remain exceptionally warm.

On Thursday, July 7th, wildfires raged on the island of Evia, Greece's second-largest island, damaging homes and cutting off roads. Hundreds of people were evacuated from the area, while firefighters battled blazes in Athens' northern suburbs. Greece's Prime Minister, Ioannis Metaxas, has called for an emergency meeting to address the nation's wildfire crisis.
