Cologne, Germany has ordered the evacuation of thousands of residents so that World War 2 era bombs can be defused. The unexploded bombs were discovered during recent construction projects. They are estimated to be sizable, with one measuring over 5 feet long.

The explosives were found in various construction sites throughout the city. The construction workers who made the discovery alerted the authorities, who quickly evacuated those living within 500 feet of the finds.
