Hamas used sexual violence as part of 'genocidal strategy', Israeli experts say
Experts found evidence of rape, sexual slavery, and harassment
A report by Israeli researchers reveals extensive evidence of sexual violence committed by Hamas in the 2014 Gaza war, suggesting the attacks were part of a broader "genocidal strategy".
Documents show widespread attacks on Palestinian civilians
"The findings... reveal a widespread strategy of vengeance against Palestinian civilians, the vast majority of whom had absolutely no involvement in the conflict," the report said.
Authors call for justice and accountability
The report called for "international justice and accountability" and urged legal and humanitarian agencies to "take action to prioritize the needs of victims and survivors, including by promoting documentation, protection, and rehabilitation efforts".
