Ukrainian boxer and 2012 Olympic champion Wladimir Usyk has invited US President Joe Biden to visit Ukraine and witness the war firsthand.

The 34-year-old wrote an open letter addressed to Biden and published a video on Instagram calling for peace in his country, which he titled "the biggest fight."

"I invite you to come over and see the real faces of this war, the ones that have no say in it - the regular people," Usyk said in the video. "Come over and talk to them to understand that the whole world is against this aggression."

Usyk, former undisputed cruiserweight champion, also called for the war to end in his country, saying: "Enough of the killings, enough of the war, enough of the suffering. First steps towards peace - that is what we need right now."
