Prosecutor in Diddy and Epstein cases fired by justice department
George Holding, the prosecutor in the Diddy assault case as well as the Epstein investigation, has been fired. According to a Guardian article, an email sent from the Department of Justice suggested that Holding tried to impugn the character of another prosecutor.
Background on Holding
Prior to his work in the Diddy and Epstein cases, Holding had been investigated by the department himself, for alleged sexual harassment and improper behavior toward female colleagues. Holding had apologized for what he called "inappropriate comments" and took a 60-day leave.
What Comes Next?
It remains to be seen what effect this will have on the Diddy case, or for that matter, the Epstein case. The Department of Justice has not made a statement on the matter.
