The heat is on in Southern Europe, with Greece and Turkey among the countries battling wildfires as temperatures spike. Recordings of footage show firefighters tackling blazes in Bulgaria, Albania, and Italy as well over the weekend. It reached 42.4 degrees Celsius in central Greece on Sunday, while neighboring Turkey recorded its highest temperature ever at 50.5 degrees Celsius in the south-eastern city of Silopi, as stated by the environment ministry.
