Three fans die in Algeria football stadium fall

Details emerge of the accident which took place on Friday 22nd June

The stadium, which hosted the 2022 FIFA World Cup, is one of the most prestigious football venues in the country and is now the focus of a criminal investigation.

Three fans were apparently overcome by a wave of euphoria and fell from an elevated section

All three were rushed to the nearby hospital, but sadly, they were declared dead on arrival. One of the deceased was just 18 years old.

We are devastated to hear of this tragedy. We are fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation. The venue has been closed until further notice, and police are investigating whether criminal negligence contributed to the deaths.
