Ukraine drones strike bombers during major attack in Russia

Russian jets struck over Ukrainian territory

Russian bomber jets were struck over Ukrainian territory early this morning, according to a statement released by the Ukrainian Defense Ministry on June 2. The drones were said to have been launched from Russia, and their goal was to target infrastructure in the eastern Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as in the southern Kherson region. Using drones to infiltrate and strike their targets is a recurring strategy that Ukraine has employed over the past year. The attack comes shortly after Russian President Vladimir Putin vowed to step up their offensive in Ukraine.

President Putin's response

In response to the attack on Russian soil using drones, Putin has insisted that the Russian army intensify its attacks on Ukraine. He states that previous attacks have not been enough to crush the Ukrainian spirit. Putin is determined to take back the entirety of Ukraine, and he promises that Russia will continue to wage its war of conquest.
